Surveys that pay instantly? Why Bonusboy pays months after the survey

Bonusboy's lowest app-store reviews say the same thing: "months to get paid". It is true, and it is by design. This page explains the timeline honestly, so you can decide whether it suits you.

The timeline of one survey reward

WhenWhat happens
Day 0You complete a survey; the partner reports it and the reward shows as Checking or Confirmed
Up to about a month laterThe partner can still cancel it after a quality review
Month endThe partner closes the month and prepares its invoice
Invoice period + net terms30 to 90 days, depending on the partner; nothing is paid until the partner's minimum is reached
Deposit arrivesThe reward switches to Withdrawable; at $5 you can cash out

For CPX Research, which runs most surveys on Bonusboy, a survey completed in September 2026 is expected to be withdrawable between 16 January and 16 February 2027. Partners whose minimum has not been reached show "waiting for partner" instead of a date.

Why the wait exists

A survey reward passes through three companies before it is yours: the company that bought the study pays the research platform, the platform pays Bonusboy after month end plus 30 to 90 days, and Bonusboy pays you. Nobody in that chain pays early. The honest options for an app are to wait, or to lend you the money and hope the partner pays. Bonusboy waits.

What "pay after deposit" protects you from

What to expect month by month

If you need money this week, a reward app is the wrong tool, and we would rather say that than be the app that promised otherwise.

Quick answers

Why is my reward not withdrawable yet?

Because the partner that runs the survey has not paid Bonusboy for it yet. Partners pay after the month closes plus 30 to 90 days, and only once their minimum is reached. The Wallet shows the expected date next to each reward, and cash-outs follow the deposit.

Why not pay members first and collect from partners later?

Because partners cancel rewards for up to a month and sometimes refuse whole batches. An app that pre-pays takes that loss itself, and when the loss is bigger than its reserves, members stop getting paid at all. Paying after the deposit means every payout is backed by money already received.

What happens to my balance while I wait?

It stays in your account as Confirmed, with the expected date next to it once the partner's minimum is crossed. Nothing expires while you wait, and you keep adding to it.
